During March I have begun to turn my February sketches into paintings. Red Sky ...is an assemble of several evenings of stunning sunsets , sometimes so much colour they are quite lurid!
A Brisk February Day is a paintings with relaxed brush work creating an evocative image of the fields trees and hedgerows I was observing and making notes of. The painting detail shows the interesting texture and expressive marks.

So far I have made four small landscapes and one abstract
Sunset is painted on a Mars Violet ground continuing round the edges . The grid was inspired by the paintings of Mondrian and Hugh Scully
